  • Editorial board members: a doctorate in a relevant field, or substantial experience as an academic or practitioner with a record of research or publication.
  • Peer reviewers: at least a master's degree, with expertise in a field the journal covers.
  • A commitment to fair, confidential and timely review, and to the journal's publication ethics.

Editorial board members

  • Handle manuscripts in your area: initial screening, inviting reviewers and recommending decisions
  • Review manuscripts when needed and suggest qualified reviewers
  • Uphold the journal's double-blind peer review and publication ethics
  • Encourage good submissions from your network

Peer reviewers

  • Recommend whether to accept, revise or decline, with clear reasons
  • Declare any conflict of interest, and decline invitations outside your expertise

  • Your name listed on the journal's editorial team page (masthead)
  • A chance to support good research and practice in your field
  • These are volunteer roles: there is no payment.
